PIA GUANIO was not in the studio with co-hosts Raymond Gutierrez, John Lapus and DJ Mo in "Showbiz Central" last Sunday. She was with Robin Padilla and Regine Velasquez for the big live promo of "Totoy Bato" at the SM Mall of Asia where Robin was the subject of the Intriga Crossfire portion. Aside from Pia, those who asked questions to Robin were Regine (his leading lady), their director Mac Alejandre, his brother Rommel Padilla and his daughter Queenie.
Here are the questions to Robin. Pia: Since you have many love scenes with Regine in 'Totoy Bato', what did you tell Ogie Alcasid about it? "Kami ng kapatid na Ogie, lalaki siya at lalaki ako.
He's the greater man kaya okay na yun. I'll always be a friend to Regine." May pressure ba sa role mo as Totoy Bato na malagpasan o mahigitan? (Pia wasn't specific about this so Robin assumed she's referring to the late Fernando Poe, Jr. who first played Totoy Bato before on the big screen.) "Malaki ang respeto at pagmamahal ko kay FPJ. Pinalad lang ako na magawa ito sa TV hanggang katapusan nito, pero hindi ko makakayang lampasan si FPJ, ang hari."
From Direk Mac who had such a long-winding intro before finally asking his question: When you do love scenes with Regine, nakikita mo ba si Ogie sa paligid? "Malabong mangyari yun. Di ko nakikita si Ogie. Bulag ako. Iba naman yung trabaho at iba yung personal. Ang sa amin ni Regine, trabaho lang. After that, sila na ni Ogie."
From his brother Rommel: Ano ang reaction mo nang tumanggi si BB Gandanghari na maging co-director ng "Totoy Bato"? "Hindi naman niya tinanggihan. Kaya lang, nang magsisimula na kami ng 'Totoy Bato', iba na ang gusto niyang gawin at sinabi nga niyang pupunta na siya sa U.S. Hindi ako nagtampo. Di na uso yung mga tampuhan."
From his daughter Queenie: "Malapit na akong mag-18, papayagan mo na ba kong tumanggap ng manliligaw? At first he said no, then added: "Oo, siempre, anak. Ako na nga ang naghahanap ng puedeng manligaw sa iyo. Gusto ko, yung tutumbasan o hihigitan pa ang pagmamahal na ibinibigay ko sa inyo. Kinausap ko na yung anak ni Chairman Nur Misuari. Sabi ko, umakyat na siya ng ligaw bago pa siya maunahan ng iba."
